About Lisa
Lisa Hartman is a nationally recognized Dog Trainer, Pet Expert and Writer who is regularly seen in the media giving expert advice. She has a solid education in animal behavior (classical and operant conditioning) which continues today. She is the Author of "DIAL A DYNAMITE DOG: The Ultimate Field Guide for Training Your Pet, as well as Hampton Dogs and "Tails of Compassion, Love and Friendship." She was Publisher and EIC of Hamptons Dog Magazine and SoFla Dog.
In 2011 she was tapped by Holistic Select Pet Foods as one of five nationwide experts to create an online tool to measure pets' overall holistic health. For years she has written popular pet and training columns for the Biscayne Times, Hamptons.com, and PlumTV. Lisa has served as the Director of Training and Behavior for the Humane Society of Greater Miami, Dog Trainer for the Humane Society of Broward County, volunteer and consultant for Dalmatian rescue, Dog Trainer for the cities of Miami Beach and Ft Lauderdale,and numerous other animal advocacy positions. Lisa Hartman is a regular guest on News 12, NBC, Taff TV (Europe)Plum TV, and was chosen by The Humane Society of the US as the dog trainer for Walk Humane. She is best known for her humane, compassionate approach to dog training and success rehabilitating dogs with serious issues, such as aggression and reactivity. She is equally known for her proactive puppy program which helps prevent future problems by getting puppies started on the right paw.
Lisa also finds and trains animals for film, print, and tv and has worked on motion pictures, reality shows, and marketing campaigns for Purina, Hollister, Shark vacuum and more.
